Chapel: Model 100

Chapel Exterior View
(Please note: The model shown features optional upgrades and elements not included in the base price, including EIFS exterior walls, asphalt shingle roofing, a ceramic tile plinth finish, interior and exterior lighting, interior drywall, as well as landscaping and site work).

Model 100 is our most affordable and thoughtfully designed pre-engineered chapel, perfectly tailored to meet the needs of a single family or a small Orthodox community.

Chapel Floor Plan

Designed to showcase the timeless beauty of the Orthodox faith, this versatile structure can serve a wide variety of purposes. It is ideal as a private house church in your own backyard, a small community temple, a wayside chapel at crossroads, a memorial chapel at significant landmarks or cemeteries, or a prayer space near holy sites, springs, and larger parish churches.

Because the design does not feature a prominent altar (apse), it does not strictly require an eastward orientation—though we recommend observing this tradition whenever the site allows.

Key Features & Specifications

  • Total Area: 100 sq. ft.
  • Capacity: Up to 20 people (based on building code allowances of 5 sq. ft. per person).

What is Included in the Base Price?

The base price starts at $65,000 (including labor) and covers the fundamental structural and architectural elements of the chapel:

  • Complete structural building frame
  • Exterior plywood sheathing
  • Standard exterior entry door
  • Two windows
  • Waterproofing underlayment for the roof
  • Detailed finishing of the curved architectural arches (zakomary), as well as window and door reveals
  • The structural drum and a premium polymer-coated dome

Options & Customizations (Not Included in Base)

To keep the base price affordable and give you maximum flexibility, the following elements are excluded from the standard package but can be added as optional upgrades or handled by local contractors:

  • Exterior Finishes: The project is highly adaptable and can be finished with vinyl siding, fiber cement board, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System), or brick veneer.
  • Roofing: Final finished roofing materials (over the included underlayment).
  • Interior: Insulation, drywall, and interior wall painting/frescoes.
  • Utilities: Electrical wiring, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
  • Decor: The traditional over-door icon.
  • Foundation: Concrete foundation and flooring (see recommendations below).

⚠️ Important Recommendations Regarding Foundations

Foundations and flooring are typically the responsibility of the client. We highly recommend commissioning a geological soil survey (to determine soil bearing capacity) and hiring a local structural engineer to design a reliable, long-lasting foundation. This ensures your chapel will stand strong and bring you joy for decades to come.

We will provide you and your engineer with the exact dimensions and total weight of the building, calculated based on your chosen exterior finishes and optional add-ons.

Pricing & Getting Started

Base packages with on-site assembly start at $65,000. Final pricing will vary depending on your construction location, site accessibility, and any additional options you choose to include.
